That's exactly my point. It's not the fact that someone is acting up, it's how people take care of the situation. Everyone is bound to have an issue here and there, but we just have to keep it cool.

I think we are all critics, some just more than others. I really try to behave with that.

I feel the same way! I have a 3 year old daughter and I cringe at the thought of taking her to a nice restaurant for exactly the reason you mentioned "the experience" I do not want to ruin the experience for the other customers. Plus, I do not want to be the guy you post about! :-)I told my wife Laurie that I would feel uncomfortable if Maddie was making a scene when the couple next to us are out to get away from their kids and spent dime or two on a babysitter. That is why we go at 4, and bring a portable DVD player on low volume. We live in a rural area where a good babysitter is hard to find. We have one but she is not always available. . Maddie is very good in a restaurant so I am lucky. She knows if she acts up, we leave. The 4 o'clock rule is still in effect and will be until she is gets a little older. After reading this post, I came to the conclusion that I must be a critic as well. Like you, I am always making little mental notes on service, food, even condition of the bathroom, body language and demeanoner of the staff, how problems are handled even the person that answers the phone.

Good. I feel better with some agreement coming from an expert.

Oh the manager is walking around all right...walking around seeing if she can squeeze any more people on top of one another.

That is too bad. The place clearly doesn't have a good manager who walks around constantly to ensure that everything is ok. That is unacceptable in my book!
