Cuisinart Doesn't stand behind their products--and they don't seem to mind. The third time I used my shiney new Smart Power Duet Blender/Food Processor the slicing blade broke into pieces and ruined about 2 pounds of freshly cooked roast beef-- AND my plans for dinner. I called customer care and they had NO remorse for this problem. They said I could buy a new blade AND they would ship it for free--to arrive in 10 working days. Even if wanted to pay for shipping faster, they said it wasn't possible. If I wanted to speak to a supervisor they would call me back within 72 business hours! They doubted that I could find a replacement blade in New York City at any retailer (where you can buy anything on earth). Before hanging up, the nonplused phone dude actually asked me if there was anything else he could help me with and chuckled! Nice.
