Samuel Adams Double Bock

I had to write this post. Along with my three reasons for living (fiber, and ), I love . I am not a huge drinker, but I do love a nice, rich, creamy . The darker and richer, the better. With that said…

…I had the best of my life yesterday. After Laura and I went up at Sam’s Point, we drove up to ’s in Stone Ridge. We did some shopping for our date later in the evening. We haven’t seen any of the movies and thought it would be cool to jump on the , or off the wagon, whatever. While we were shopping for very expensive (everything is expensive in that store), I decided to refill my stash in the . I ran out last week and have been feeling the loss. I decided to pick up some Sam Adams along with some Honey Brown.

I was so excited to get home to open the bottle of Double Bock. I have never tried it. I got home and popped the top off. I took my first and said, “WOW.” I handed the bottle to Laura and had her try it. I have to say, it is the richest, creamiest I have ever had. I like creamy and this topped the cake. I just had to write about it because I was kind of excited. Give it a try.

I am going to have a bottle of tonight so I don’t spoil a good thing, but tommorow, I will be back to the .

This is a little addition to the original post is it with these stupid age on these websites? Heaven forbid someone under the age of eighteen read about . Yes, that’s it, let’s keep them so sheltered that the minute they turn twenty one, they get totally blitzed. Like they aren’t going to put in a fake date anyway.

I remember one time, back , I read about a in a magazine. I was so inspired that I went out and bought a . Yeah right.

I have tried your Samuel Adams double bock beer. Perhaps we have different tastes in beer, to me it tasted sickly sweet, sort of cough syrupy with a disturbing after taste. It does, however, have 8.8 percent alcohol, so after one or two it likely doesn’t matter what it tastes like.

I think we do have different tastes in beer. You may very well be an ale man. Or, perhaps you are just drunk right now and don’t know what you are writing.

I really haven’t found too many people with my taste in beer, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t smart or anything. HAHA

Your comment reminded me to open my next Double Bock. I can’t stand it, it’s so good. I want to take a bath in it.

Now that I pay attention, I can see what you are talking about with the cough syrup thing. If you really can’t stand it, PLEASE don’t hesitate to bring me your leftovers.

You are right, I am more of an ale man. I like something with bite, when you drink it, you feel like a man. Something that, as my father used to say, puts hair on your chest.

As for the Samuel Adams Double Bock, it will be in my office fridge tomorrow, you are welcome to it and all it’s Robitussin glory.

I will drink your beer. Don’t doubt me. Also, I finished my beer today and it just will never be the same. Now all I can taste is syrup.

Bitchass. I am sure you can find a way to make it up to me, or maybe 5 little glass ways.

The first time I tried it it was good and it knocked me on my a$$ after only one. 1 year later I drank 7 or 8 and got a horrendous hang over. 2 yrs later it no longer tasted like beer at all, more like a malt liquor. Sam’s got much better tasting beers. Don’t think I’ll try it again. Spoke with Jim Koch on the subject and he said the malt used changes from year to year.
